Panopreter Plus

The functionality provided by the Panopreter Plus comes in handy when you don’t have the time to read text and when for some reason you can’t read text. This is a text to speech application that takes text and converts it to MP3 or WAV. You can type in some text and the application will read it out for you and save it as an audio file, and you can feed it a TXT, RTF, PDF or DOC file and it will turn the text into an audio file. It also comes with an Internet Explorer toolbar that can be used to read text on webpages and convert text to audio.

The Panopreter Plus installation file weighs in at a mere 5.6MB, so on a high-speed internet connection it will take but a moment for the download to complete. Installing the application will not take long either. A setup wizard will guide you through all the steps and you will be done before you know it. Panopreter Plus can be installed on top of Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7.

The interface is simple and focused on functionality. From the left hand side you can choose between "Input and Speak" (type or paste the text you want the application to speak out and convert to audio) or "Read File" (select a TXT, RTF, PDF or DOC file that has the text you want to listen to and convert to audio). To convert the text to audio, just hit the “Save to audio” button and pick a name for the audio file and the location where it will be stored. Panopreter Plus will save the audio file as an MP3 and as a WAV file (there are two files, an MP3 and a WAV).

You can evaluate the functionality Panopreter Plus has to offer for a period of 30 days. Once the trial period is over, you will have to get a license.
